John Unrein is a magazine editor and narrative storyteller with 30-plus years’ experience in writing, editing, photography and video for multimedia platforms. His travels take him around the world to find and develop compelling stories involving the most innovative bakery and food businesses. His company, Sosland Publishing, is based in Kansas City where he supervises several print and online properties including bake magazine,, and Supermarket Perimeter.
His primary responsibilities involve writing and editing for bake, the nation’s largest publication dedicated to retail bakeries and pastry chefs in North America, as well as bake’s annual special edition, Twentyfive: essential bakery and pastry artisans.
